16 Year old in the house!

So Colby got his license yesterday! Yippie! He is so excited to have some independance now...Colby took his little brother to lunch today for their first ride!

An update on the ski trip! lol

So we were so busy i didnt have a chance to keep everyone informed! The week was incredible, it is so nice to have all the kids able to hit the mountain the whole day! I took a ski lesson and loved it! I was suppose to do a beginner group lesson, turns out i was the only one signed up! So needless to say i got a personal lesson for $55 with rentals and lift ticket! I learned so much and loved it! Im just happy Scott is open to me becomming a skier! lol Never thought this would happen! Colby and Scott spent their day in the terrain park, and the little ones and i spent time working on turns and cruising! We love Big White and are looking forward to the return!

Day on the slopes!

What a beautiful day! It was 29 degrees and sunny! It could not have been a more perfect day! We literally spent the whole day out there...It is nice to finally have Colton able to snowboard with us from the top...I had to unzip my jacket today it was so warm..

The snow was a bit icy in the morning but later in the morning the icy snow became perfect carving bliss....as soon as we got back to our condo, we jumped into the hot tub to relax our tired legs...

Scott is working on a steak/shrimp and baked potato dinner...i am sitting here being lazy and blogging with a glass of wine....tomorrow we are planning a day of x-country skiing..im hoping the day will be as nice as today was...

Big White day 1

Today we arrived at Big White, and after 6 hours of riding in the car with 5 people, we had to burn off some energy and went tubing at the amazing tube park! We had a blast on this fair weather nite! The sky was clear, stars were out and we did some major spinning! Kylee and I were actually dizzy after one go....lol stay tuned for more! Going to get some dinner and wine, possibly some hot tubbing too! Tomorrow we are slotted for a day on the slopes....

Vacation excitement!

So, here we are gearing up for the winter vacation to Big White, Kelowna, BC. This is are third year to our favorite snowboarding resort! There are so many things to do there for the whole family, from tubing, ice skating, x-country skiing, terrain park etc...we will be staying in the "villiage" on the mountain at the Copper Kettle condo.
There is nothing like spending $250 at Costco not to mention,we still have to go to the grocery store, we have 5 mouths to feed for 7 days. Including a 16yo boy! Anyway i can express the excitement of gliding through powder! Will post some pics as the week sails by...hopefully not to fast......
